Linen, a straw bag and sunglasses: they came dressed for a summer evening on the coast. We started among the stone arches, where the light stays soft even in the afternoon.
Then along the clifftop terraces, where the Bay of Naples opens up and the volcano sits on the horizon. They walked, I followed, and every now and then we stopped.
We finished down the lanes towards the harbour, as the light turned gold. Editorial when it was needed, documentary the rest of the time.
