A hotel on the cliff edge in Sorrento, a garden full of palms, and the Bay of Naples all the way to Vesuvius.
Davide and Camilla married at La Cocumella in Sorrento. The morning was make-up and a lot of applause in the suite, the portraits moved between the gardens and the terrace over the sea, and the party finished with sparklers above the bay.
What to know about La Cocumella
- The garden under the trees is the place for a first look: shade, a little privacy and no guests around yet.
- From the terrace you have the cliffs of Sorrento on one side and Vesuvius across the bay on the other: two backdrops a few steps apart.
- Cutting the cake on the terrace at night, with sparks going up over the bay, is worth keeping in the timeline.
The morning
Rings, earrings and a sealed invitation laid out on teal velvet. Upstairs, make-up by the window, the bridesmaids applauding when Camilla stood up in her robe, the dress fastened at the foot of the bed. Davide got ready in another room, in the half-dark.

The La Cocumella wedding, between the garden and the sea
They saw each other for the first time in the garden, under the trees. Then portraits on the terrace, with the cliffs of Sorrento on one side and Vesuvius across the water on the other.

I hardly directed them here. With that view behind them there was no need.
Celebrating
A kiss in the middle of the guests, glasses raised under the arches, a first dance, and the cake cut on the terrace as the sparks went up over the bay.
